Experience the built-in AT commands in Windows XP

AT command is a built-in command in Windows XP. It can also be compared with the "planned tasks" in Windows, and in the scheduling of tasks, the management of tasks, and the processing of work transactions. The AT command has more powerful and supernatural powers. The AT command runs commands and programs on a specified computer at a specified time and date.

We can enter the AT command in "Start → Run", let's take a look at some examples of AT commands.

1. Timed Shutdown

Command: at 21:00 ShutDown –S –T30

After the command is run, at 21:00, the computer will display “System Shutdown”. "Dialog box, and default 30 seconds delay automatic shutdown.

2, Timed Reminder

Command: at 12:00 Net Send 10.10.36

where Net Send is a Windows internal program that can send messages to other users and computers on the network. 10.10.36.122 is the IP address of the local computer. This feature is also known as "message service" in Windows.

3, automatically run the batch file

If the company's data is important, you need to backup at the specified date /time, then run:

Command: at 1: 00AM /Every:Saturday My_BackUp.bat

Thus, at 1:00 am every Saturday (Saturday), the computer periodically launches the My_BackUp.bat batch file. My_BackUp.bat is a self-made batch file that contains multiple commands that can perform a full backup of the system.

4, cancel the scheduled plan

Command: at 5 /Delete

Sometimes, the plan you have scheduled may change temporarily, so you can use it in time. The above command deletes the plan (5 is the identification number assigned to the scheduled command), of course, after the plan is deleted, it can be rescheduled.
