Clear the history of hidden icons in the XP taskbar

Windows XP provides a feature that automatically hides inactive icons. When this feature is enabled, inactive icons in the system tray can be automatically hidden to avoid excessive tray space in the system tray area.

This function is used to record the icons that appear in the tray area during the design. For a long time, right click on the blank space of the taskbar and select “Properties” in the “Taskbar” tab. Click on the "Customize" button (assuming the "Hide Inactive Icons" checkbox is checked), you can see a lot of history in the "Past Projects" column, how to delete these potentially leaked items?

Type "regedit.exe" in "Start → Run", open the "Registry Editor", expand the branch "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\ Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\TrayNotify", where "IconStreams" The "current project" and "past project" are stored in the "PastIconStream" item respectively; the "TrayNotify" item is deleted and restarted to solve the problem.
