How to start the scheduled task under Windows XP

In order to install WinXP, I spent a lot of energy; in order to use the "task plan" under WinXP, I was forced to install Win2000 3 times; however, in order to use the "Fax" function under WinXP I reinstalled WinXP; if my hard drive has 60G, then I will use WinXP, Win2000 dual system; but my hard drive is only 40G, so I just use DOS, WinXP dual system - but, under my WinXP The "mission plan" is still not resolved, no matter what V2, V3, V4 version, or Lenovo OEM home version, or the original 30-day limited version. What the hell is this?

We know that under Win98 and Win2000, to use its "task plan" function, it is very simple, just follow the prompts to set up step by step to work properly. But when it comes to Win XP, it can't be like this. Now let's take a look at the actual symptoms. Click “Start” on the mouse and select “Settings” and “Control Panel” in the pop-up menu to enter the control panel.

Then we double-click on the "Task Schedule" icon. Inside is the "Add Task Plan" icon, double click on it. Then we follow the prompts of the "Task Schedule Wizard" and click the "Next" button.

The "Task Schedule Wizard" will give you the program selection interface that we need to run on Win XP. If you don't have the program you want, you can click the "Browse" button. Since I use the "task plan" just to call Flashget to download the file (as a senior "worm", the daily download is a compulsory homework, but I am in a local area network. If you want to download it in peacetime, you will be banned. "The net" is penalized, so I have to download it at 12:30 in the middle of the night and 2:30 in the afternoon, when others are no longer online - but this time I have gone to sleep and go out, then the "task plan" Can play an important role). So I have to make a choice.
Click the "Browse" button to make a selection. My flashget is installed under the "Program Files" directory of the D drive, so I must first on the leftmost "My Recent Documents", "Desktop", "My Documents", "My Computer", "My Network Places" Select "My Computer", then click the flashget folder in the "Program Files" directory of the D drive, then click "Flashget.exe" in the open program, file icon, and then click the "Open" button.

Back to the "Task Schedule Wizard" interface. There are 5 options under "Perform this task", which are "Daily", "Weekly", "Monthly", "One-time", "When computer starts", "When logging in", we can separately Need to choose. I chose "Daily" and clicked the "Next" button.

In the "Please select the start time and date of the task run" dialog box, I set the "start time" to the current time, mainly to verify its running effect, "run this Task is set to "Daily" and "Start Date" lets the system default the current date. Then click "Next".

Next, the "Task Schedule Wizard" prompts "Please enter the username and password. This will automatically run the task, as if the user started it yourself." According to the experience of Win98, Win2000, as long as the single Just click the "Next" button.

Now, the Task Schedule Wizard prompts "You have successfully scheduled the following tasks". Below is the name of the task program we selected, time, etc. Click the "Finish" button.

Finally, there is a "Flashget" run icon in the "Task Schedule" folder.

Unfortunately, at the scheduled time, the "Task Plan" did not start the "flashget" program as I hoped! No matter how I adjust my time, it will not help. In order to verify, you can right click on the "Flashget" program icon and select "Run" from the pop-up menu. Under normal circumstances, the program icon can be started normally as long as it is activated, but in the "task plan", it completely fails. what on earth is this kind of happenings?

In order to solve this very simple and useful problem, I will write out the specific symptoms of this problem, such as "Operating System Forum" and "POP Software Forum" in various famous forums such as "Etienne Hardware Portal" "Windows XP Technology
Forum", "Computer Amateur Forum", "System Software - Yuanwang IT Forum", "Zhongguancun Forum", etc. all posted inquiries, and the results were disappointing. All the answers are basically: "Your WinXP version is too old, replace it with a new one." Only one of my dear friends answered "Yes" after the test but there is no other answer. It seems that I can only find the answer myself.

Can't run", it should be a problem here. Then right click on the "Flashget" icon, select "Task" in the pop-up property interface, and click the "Set Password" button in "Run Mode".

Then enter the password you confirmed in the pop-up "Set Password" dialog box.

The results were still disappointing, so I clicked on the "AT Service Account" in the "Advanced" drop-down menu in the "Task Schedule" menu bar to see if I could find something.

In the "AT Service Account Settings", the original is "system account", I tried to select "this account: Cui Xiaoqiu /Cui Xiaoqiu 1", and also set a password, confirmation.

Still no reaction, this damn "task plan" can not be started! In desperation, I chose "Details" in the "View" drop-down menu in its menu bar.

Oh, finally found the secret! Originally, in the "details" of this "task plan", including "name", "plan", "next run time", "last run time", "status", "last result", " The author, etc., and other important information, in which the key "state" clearly states "the scheduled task is not running because the wrong password or username was entered."

Then select "View Log" in the "Advanced" drop-down menu in the "Task Schedule" menu bar to see what is going on.

In this log, the words are repeated:

"flashget.job" (Flashget.exe) 2002-4-2 23:34:00 ** Error**

The account associated with the task failed to log in, so the task does not run.

The specified error is:

0x8007052e: Login failed: Unknown username or incorrect password.

Please confirm the validity of the task as the running name and password, and try again.

So, what should be done is the correct username and password? I asked these questions N times in major forums. No one can give me the answer. It seems that asking someone is not as good as asking for yourself. I still honestly study WinXP. The problem lies in the "username and password", and the setting options related to "username and password" have all been given to me in the "task plan". There is no other room, then exit the "task plan" folder, at " Look inside the control panel. Looking for it, there is really a "user account", double click on its icon. In the pop-up "User Accounts" settings interface, there are several options: "Choose a task": "Change Account", "Create a new account", "Change the way users log in or log out"; "Or pick an account Make changes": "Cui Xiaoqiu 1 (with his own computer name) computer administrator", "Guest guest account". Click the "Computer Administrator" button with the mouse.

Under "What do you want to change your account?" are several options: "Change my name", "Create password", "Change my picture", "Change my Account Type", "Create my .Net Passport". Nothing else, click the "Create Password" button.

Then in the "Create a password for your account" dialog box, enter the password we want and confirm, and finally click the "Create Password" button. Remember to quit this program after you have created it.

Now we right click on the "Flashget" icon, select "Task" in the pop-up property interface, click the "Set Password" button in "Run Mode", in the pop-up "Settings" In the "Password" dialog box, enter your own confirmed password. Huh? Or not. Is it still a problem with the password? I set this password to the same as the "Computer Administrator" account password. Successful!

a very small problem, actually took so much effort to solve this Wix XP really what I love and hate, but no way, who told me to use it. If you encounter the same problem, you may need more than one mind and many experiments.
