Using Sysprep to make Ghost perfect backup

A new hard disk can use Ghost to directly clone the old hard disk system? Yes. On the Windows XP installation CD, there is a tool called SysPRep, a utility designed for system administrators and other customers who need to deploy the Windows XP operating system on multiple computers. And Sysprep assigns a unique security token to each target computer when it is first restarted.

Start the battle, put the installation CD of Windows XP, open the \\SUPPORT\\TOOLS folder, find the DEPLOY.CAB file, unzip it to the old hard disk, and after extracting, you will get 10 files. Run sysprep.exe, the program will pop up a warning window, prompting you to install this program will modify some parameters of the system, click "OK" to start the system backup tool. Then check the "MiniSetup" and "PnP" options below, then click the "Reinstall" button. At this point, the computer will display the "You are sure to continue with your current settings" dialog box, and then "OK."

At this time, you can use Ghost to backup and restore the system on the old hard disk to the new hard disk. After the restore, the Windows XP system of the new hard disk will re-detect the computer hardware once it is turned on for the first time. After that, a new security ID will be created, and you can run Windows XP normally.

Tip: You can only install and run Sysprep on Windows located on the C drive. (Kami)
