Recover lost sent to option

shortly before PLMM asked: I am using Windows 98 system, there is no "3.5-inch floppy disk" and "desktop shortcut" in "Send to" in my right-click menu, I would like to ask how to restore? "That said, I have "tossed" the computer for some time, and I feel that I am almost a "old bird". I have never encountered such a problem, and I have never seen an answer to this question. So on the spot, it was "clam shell". It still seems to be very "dish"! But my heart refused to accept, so I hurriedly returned, opened my own computer, and entered Windows 98 system (Note: installed Windows 98/2000/XP three systems) Go directly to the "C:WindowsSendTo" directory and find the "3.5-inch floppy disk (A)" and "desktop shortcuts". The two guys started the "research"! After some thoughts, they made bold attempts. Oh really successful, Keguan you please read on:!

Step1, still is in: the next "C WindowsSendTo" directory, this has first "desktop shortcut" Del swap (right When the "Send to/Desktop Shortcut" in the right-click menu on my machine is lost, I want to restore it. ^_^);

Step2, then right click on the blank space of the window (the area other than the icon) "New /Text Document", After the SendTo window, there will obviously be a 0 byte notepad icon text file "New Text Document.txt";

Step3, rename this "New Text Document.txt" to "Desktop Shortcut" .DeskLink"! After that, "If you change the file extension, it may cause the file to be unavailable. Are you sure you want to change? "This kind of renaming warning dialog box, it is OK to ignore it." Yes, I saw you? Oh, the icon and name have changed (become a familiar desktop with a small brush)

Step4, then just find a file and right click to see the "send to" menu? Well, finally saw the lovely "her"!

Special Tip: The premise is that you must remove the "√" before the "Hide extension of known file type" from the "View" tab of the "Folder Options" (ie to display the extension of the known file type)! Otherwise, "New Text Document.txt" becomes "Desktop Shortcut.DeskLink.txt" instead of "Desktop Shortcut.DeskLink"!

The article is over but the heart is suddenly asked: Hypothesis One day, your "My Documents" in the "Send To" menu of your right button is gone. How can you recover? If you are still alive, click on the selected WEB preview area on the left and you will see an "I Docs.mydocs (my documentation "Description! Just the same as before I resumed the "Send to /Desktop shortcut" process! Similarly, we can restore the recipient of the mail is also very easy: similar to the recovery of "desktop shortcuts", as long as the suffix "DeskLink" "Change to "MAPIMail", the other suffixes are LNK, mainly identified by content, it is more difficult to recover, so the best way to recover is to copy from other computers to the SendTo directory.
