Retrieve the missing address bar in Windows XP SP3

If your Windows XP has installed the SP3 patch package, you will find that the address bar has disappeared, and the original "address" option can not be found in the toolbar section of the taskbar shortcut menu (as shown). Of course, Microsoft has to remove the browser from the operating system in response to the laws of some countries, so the address bar function has been removed from the system tray.

Of course, we can choose to use Windows Search 4 or third-party software such as MuvEnum Address to solve this problem. In fact, we can completely retrieve the address bar by selecting the browseui.dll file:

Find the Widnows XP SP2 installation CD, find the file "BROWSEUI.DL_", copy it to the current system" Under the WidnowsSystem32 folder, rename the original "browseui.dll" in the folder to "browseui.dll1" or another name. This is mainly for system security considerations and can be restored in case of problems. Next, we can enter the command prompt environment, manually run the following command:

expand BROWSEUI.DL_ browseui.dll

The function of "expand" in the above command is mainly to expand one or more Compressed files, BROWSEUI.DL_ can be expanded to browseui.dll after execution. Then restart the system, now you can see that the "address" option we need has appeared in the toolbar section of the taskbar shortcut menu. Is it convenient?
