Because the Windows XP operating system comes with the PPPOE dialer, there is no need to install any additional software. If you have the basic conditions for the Internet: the computer has a network card and the driver is installed properly, the carrier's network cable is properly connected. The network card provides the signal, and the operator provides the account password for PPPOE dialing. After the above three conditions, the last step of the long march is to configure the system. The steps are as follows:
1. Click “Start”, select “Control Panel”, click “Network and Internet Connection”, then Click "Network Connection", then you should see an open window and find "Local Area Connection" (if no local connection is found, it means the computer has no network card or the network card driver is not installed), as shown below:




2, and now, at the option "network tasks" on the bottom of the map, click "create a new connection"; then click "Next."
3, follow the wizard prompts, select "Connect to the Internet", and then click "Next";


4, then select "Manually set my connection", then click "Next";


5. Next, select "Connect with a broadband connection that requires a username and password" and then "Next."



6, will now prompt you to enter the ISP name, you can enter the name you use broadband operators, or simply just fill in a few letters numbers, such as "123" or something, Then click "Next".



7, the interface figure below each box corresponding to the input operators to provide your account number, password, under a few (two or three) option is selected by default , you can choose according to your needs, then click "Next".



8, OK, done soon, before you click "Finish" button, select "Add a shortcut to this connection on my desktop", so You can see a shortcut to the connection you just created (named after the ISP name you just entered) on the desktop, in this case "123".



9, finally, before the Internet, double-click on the desktop to open the connection you just created, and press the "Connect" button connected to the network, you can enjoy the thrill of surfing broadband it!



reminded of two things should be noted:
one, if not find a shortcut on the desktop (may be accidentally deleted, etc.), then according to the way you opened in step 1 "Network Connection", which will see an icon for the connection you created under "Local Area Connection".
Second, the option to save your password at the time of connection is selected, so you do not have to re-enter the password every time you connect.
