Piracy win XP arbitrary automatic update method

Solution:

1The above error occurs when installing SP1

Click "Start → Settings → Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Services", right in the "Services" window On the side, find the "Cryptographic Services" option, double-click it to open the "Properties" window, and set its "Startup Type" to "Automatic" (as shown). It should be noted that "Cryptographic Services" relies on "Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service", if your RPC service is not enabled, you can enable it. If it cannot be enabled in the "Services" window, you can use the Windows XP installation CD to start the computer, enter the "Recovery Console", and enter the command "Enable RPCSS Service_Auto_Start" to enable the RPC service.

If, after the above steps did not solve the problem, then the next click on the "Start → Run", press Enter to open a Command Prompt window, enter "cmd", run the following three commands in sequence:

net stop cryptsvc

ren c:windowssystem32catroot2 oldcatroot2

net start cryptsvc

If it still doesn't work, we can also delete all files in the "c:windowssystem32catroot2" directory. If the system prompts that it cannot be deleted, you should enter safe mode to delete it.

It should be able to upgrade smoothly. Why, still not? Then download the Q817287 patch that Microsoft released for this issue!
2 General patch update error

First try the above solution, if the problem has not been resolved, click "Start → Run", enter "cmd" and press Enter to open the command prompt window, Run the "net start cryptsvc" command, then use the regsvr32 command to register softpub.dll, wintrust.dll, initpki.dll, dssenh.dll, rsaenh.dl, gpkcsp.dll, sccbase.dll, slbcsp.dll, cryptdlg.dll . For example, the format of the registered softpub.dll is: "regsvr32 softpub.dll".

I am using Windows Update and I get "ERROR 643" or "ERROR 126 The specified module could not be found"

Solution: For "ERROR 643" ", we can open the command line prompt window, run the "del /qc: windowsSystem32Catroot2Edb.log" command, that is, delete the Edb.log file that records the update data, let the system re-establish, and then re-run Windows Update.

"ERROR 126" is more common, we can open the WindowsSystem32catroot2 directory and delete all files in this directory. If it still doesn't work, you can copy Cryptui.dll and Certcli.dll from the installation disk to replace the file with the same name under WindowsSystem32. If the error still occurs, use the "regsvr32 /u.dll" command to uninstall the DLL files mentioned in "Fault 2", restart the computer and then re-register them with the "regsvr32 xxx.dll" command.

When using Windows Update, I encountered a similar error such as "0x800A138F", "0x800C-0008", "0xC00CE55F".

Solution: First clear the IE temporary folder, then check the browser's security settings, in order to solve the problem more easily, temporarily set it to the lowest level. In the IE, click "Options→Internet Options", then in the "Internet Properties" window, switch to the "Content" tab, click "Empty SSL Status", select "Automatic" to complete, click "Clear" in the pop-up window Form" and "Clear Password". Next switch to the "Advanced" tab, make sure "Use SSL 2.0" and "Use SSL 3.0" are checked, and clear the "Check server certificate revocation" option.

Next, check if your system time setting is correct, check if the system has port 443 open, delete all files in the C:\\Program Files\\Windows\\update directory and the C:\\Program Files\\Windows\\updates directory.

Check if your IE uses 128-bit digital encryption by checking it in the "About" window in IE. If not, you will need to reinstall IE.

View the system's Host file. The location of the Host file is: C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32DRIVERSetc (Windows XP), C:WINNTSYSTEM32DRIVERSetc (Windows 2000), C:WindowsHosts (Windows 98), check if there is "Akamai", The line "Microsoft" is deleted if there is one.
After opening Windows Update, after pressing the "Install Now" button and accepting the "User Agreement", the download is stalled.

Solution: Open the C:Windowssystem32inf directory (note that the directory is a hidden directory), find IE.inf, right click on the file and select "Install". If the failure is not resolved, http://download.microsoft.com/download/msninvestor/patch/1.0/win98/en-us/mcrepair.exe download the patch. Next, copy the three files of Asycfilt.dll, Oleaut32.dll, Olepro32.dll, Stdole2.tlb in the C:WindowsSystem directory to the root directory of the C drive, run the downloaded Mcrepair.exe file, and restart the computer after running. Copy the file to C: Cover the file with the same name under WindowsSystem.

When using Windows Update, the power is suddenly turned off. When updating again, it prompts that the patch has been downloaded and cannot be updated.

Solution: Windows will put the temporary files in the C:WUTemp directory when updating. After finding the directory, manually install the patch files. After the installation, use Windows Update to update again. If the failure cannot be resolved, try to delete the WUTemp directory and delete the C:Program FilesWindowsUpdatewuhistv3.log file (which records the Windows Update installation history) and use the Windows Update update again.
