Unlimited backtracking regrets eating all over the world

In the process of editing a document or material, we will repeatedly modify it and save it repeatedly. However, it is very likely that we suddenly remember that a piece of content modified a few hours ago or a few days ago should not be modified or deleted, but we want to retrieve it and regret it. Late! Previous backups have already been covered by the latest backups, and it is not possible to retrieve the previous content due to business trips or work place transfers, computer replacements, etc. The following system home tells you how to trace back after the file is modified. In order to make up for this regret that I have often encountered, I have summarized some version backtracking methods in the document editing process, which allows me to retrieve any previous version of the document, and even retrieve the previously written documents even after traveling the world. . Do not believe you also try it! Unlimited backups offline. Usually we record content in text. If so, we can give up Word and choose a more lightweight notepad tool. Let us use a good editing software EmEditor to create a self-timed unlimited paper backup environment. We know that everyone enters at different speeds. Someone enters hundreds of Chinese characters per minute, and some people can only enter thirty or forty. According to the speed of each person's entry, we can set up automatic backup every 5 minutes, 3 minutes or even 1 minute, and set the uncovered backup mode, so that every unit time period in the process of editing the document will be left. A backup of a document. First, set a local folder to store temporary files for backup (for example, I set E:\\TXT-BAK), and then set unlimited backup parameters in EmEditor. The specific setting method is shown in Figure 1. EmEditor (text editor): http://www.xp85.com/html/EmEditor.html1. Click “Auto Save” Tab 2. Select “Automatically save files every [ ] minutes & check box And set the save interval (such as 1 minute) 3. Select “ Save to auto save folder & rdquo; 4. Select “ If you find a file with the same name, rename it. 5. Set the auto save folder to E :\\TXT-BAK6. After clicking the “OK” button to set this up, if you want a history document of an edited TXT later, go directly to the E:\\TXT-BAK folder and sort the folders by time, then Find the file for the corresponding time. Tip: You can add a "backup" to backup the document. Note that the difference “Auto Save” backup file is different from the backup file stored in the “Backup” function. The backup of the file provided by the “backup” function means that when the save operation is performed, the system automatically retains a file that was last saved as a backup. There is a special case for this backup, which is that you can use the recycle bin to save backups (Figure 2). Unlimited backup in online situations The above example is what we are talking about when editing text on a local fixed computer. Many times, we don't necessarily work on a fixed computer. It is likely that the company has not edited the document, and will continue to edit after going home. Or work overtime at home to continue the file content. modify. If you back up your documents as described above, it is likely that the company will find that its history is left at home; or when you go home, you will find that historical documents are recorded on the company's computer. How to solve? Apply for a Baidu network disk account (Figure 3), then download a "Baidu cloud synchronization disk" PC-side tool, install the computer in the home, and set a folder on the local hard disk as a synchronization folder (for example “ D: \\ Baidu network disk & rdquo;) (Figure 4). Use the same method to install the cloud synchronization client for other PCs you work with (such as your office PC and your laptop, etc.), and also set up a local synchronization folder. Next, set the AutoSave folder of the EmEditor software installed on each computer to share the folder of the [Baidu Network Disk” folder (Figure 5). After the above settings, no matter which computer is working, as long as it is in the networked state, the generated temporary backup files will be automatically uploaded to the network cloud disk. At the same time, the temporary files generated by different computers in the network cloud disk will also be synchronized. Go to the local network folder. In this way, you can view the backup of documents generated by previous work at any time, no matter where you work. Tip: In the advanced setting options of Baidu's cloud disk, you can selectively synchronize folders (Figure 6). If the time is long, the number of backup files is too large. For those backup files that are determined to be temporarily no longer used, you can move them to the secondary folder without setting up synchronization. The stylish limited-time cloud backup solution The above solution uses the local editor EmEditor combined with the network disk cloud disk for automatic backup, which looks cumbersome but powerful. At present, a network editing software that has both the functions of editing and cloud backup is popular, and is collectively referred to as cloud note software, for example, “There is a cloud note”. Install Dow Cloud Notes software on PC terminals in different locations, and then log in with the same account number, so that the documents seen on each terminal are the latest version. At the same time, multiple versions of each document can be kept on the cloud disk. Such notebook cloud software often has a mobile version that supports different kinds of platforms, and can be used to edit and view different versions of documents with various mobile devices, which is more flexible and convenient. However, there is a regret that you cannot keep history indefinitely. Tip: Turn on the history version setting function of cloud notes to save the previously modified version of the document. However, unlike the above schemes, such software has a limit on the number of repentances. If there is a cloud, you can set up to 20 historical versions, and you cannot achieve an infinite number of backtracking functions (Figure 7). The above two cloud backup versions have their own advantages and disadvantages. Although the former is troublesome, it can achieve unlimited backups, unlimited backtracking, and even find history every 1 minute; the latter is more trouble-free, but there are limits. If you write things often, especially those who write long articles, we suggest you use the former; if you only record things sporadically, using cloud note software is enough.
