Tips for using Outlook

E-mail bit fast delivery and mailing are much faster, usually in minutes or hours. Significant savings compared to post offices, express mail and faxes. As a result, more and more people are choosing to use email to connect and communicate with others to improve their actual productivity. But it is undeniable that we are more or less confused when we enjoy e-mails, and we are more or less confused. For example, when sending large-capacity letters, it is very slow, or it is impossible to send large-capacity letters directly. . What kind of approach should we take to raise the speed of sending large-capacity letters? Below, the author will put together some of his use skills in practice, for your reference only.

First, let ordinary mail become a registered letter
If the large-volume letter to be sent is very important, and to be sent to the recipient within the specified time, simply send an ordinary letter may not be able to To achieve the goal, because of the current network bandwidth problem, letter loss is a very normal thing, then how can we ensure that important letters are accurately transmitted to the recipient? Some people implement this method by repeating the mailing and sending them by different mail boxes, but such methods are inefficient. Now that Outlook is upgraded, we can turn ordinary mail into a registered mail, so that we can send the letter to the other party accurately and efficiently. The specific implementation steps are as follows: first open the Outlook startup interface in Windows Me, then click the tool menu item in the menu bar with the mouse, and select the option command from the pop-up drop-down menu, and select "In the pop-up option dialog box" Receipts tab, then we can see a tab interface related to the receipt, in which we can find that the receipt function only works after the other party receives our email and opens it, if the email we sent has a receipt The request can be answered by the other party. This is similar to the fact that we sent a registered letter to the recipient to read the letter and sign it and then send it back to the receipt. As long as you receive the receipt, it means that your email has been delivered and the other party has already seen it. As for the specific response, you can see the specific content, requirements and understanding of the email.

Second, automatically add address
Address book can greatly improve the speed and accuracy of email address input, for this reason, Outlook Express can add addresses to the address book. If we want to add it selectively, open the received message and click on "Tools" → "Add sender to address book" with your mouse.
If you want to add all the reply email addresses, just click the "Tools" → "Options" command, select "Automatically add my reply to the address book" in the "Send" tab, after that all E-mail addresses not included in the address book are added to the address book.

Third, choose the fast export ISP
When we send mail, we can do it on any host connected to the Internet, but every host on the Internet can access and browse information at the same speed. Not the same, if the ISP export bandwidth we connect to is relatively loose, then all the hosts connected to the ISP can access the information quickly. On the contrary, if the computer is connected to an ISP with a slow export speed, then use this. When a computer sends a letter or makes other forms of access, the speed will be slow.

Fourth, it is best to use ISP mailbox to send large-capacity letters
Since the time of sending large-capacity letters may be very long, it may take a long time to use a free e-mail to send large-capacity letters. The time can be completed. Once the information is blocked during the process of sending the mail, it may not be sent out. This may make the information that has already been sent "ineffective". So how can we effectively prevent large-capacity letters from falling off during the transmission process? In general, when we send an email, we can set the server that sends the mail as the mail server of our ISP, so that we can ensure that large-capacity letters can be sent directly to the sending server and then through the sending server. The mail is forwarded to the designated mailbox, and the author has found through experiments that this method can significantly improve the sending speed.

V. Compressing large-capacity letters
In the case of a certain bandwidth, the smaller the information capacity is, the faster the transmission will be. Otherwise, if the amount of mail sent is larger, send The longer it takes to receive mail, and the maximum capacity of each mailbox may be limited, so it's best to compress the mail before sending it. We can first compress the attachments of the mail with a compression software such as WinZip, and then send the compressed attachments in the usual way.

Six, split large-capacity letters
If large-capacity letters are still large after compression with dedicated compression software, then you can split the large-capacity letters, let a message into several Partially transmitted to prevent the transmission from being lost. When splitting, we can use a special tool such as FileSplit to split the large pieces into small mails, or use the built-in split function in Outlook Express to implement the split function. The specific operation method is: sending and receiving mail. In the interface, use the mouse to click the "Tools" /"Account" command in the menu bar, then select the "Properties" command, then the program will appear a properties dialog box, select the "Advanced" tab in the dialog box, and Under the tab, select the split email under "Send" and set the minimum unit for splitting, so that you can send the emails in batches when sending large-capacity letters.

VII. Try to use text to send letters
As mentioned above, because the network transmission speed is very slow, sending large-capacity letters is not an easy task, and there may be a drop of the line. In order to avoid this kind of trouble, we should use text mode when writing emails, and try to abbreviate the size of the mail size. When setting the sending format of the mail, we can follow the steps below: first open the mailer, click the "Tools" /"Options" command in the menu bar with the mouse, and select the "Send" tab in the pop-up dialog box. In the tab page that appears, select the "Mail Delivery Format" option.
