So many netbook users also want to install Windows 7 on their own machines. In fact, Windows 7 can also run smoothly on a low-profile netbook, but some netbook users are depressed because they can't install Windows 7 without a DVD drive. In fact, you don't have to be frustrated, because we can still install Windows 7 without a DVD drive. We only need a 4GB USB flash drive. After testing, installing Windows 7 using a USB flash drive is faster than using a DVD drive.
The steps are as follows:
1. First we need to find a 4GB USB flash drive and plug it into the netbook.
2. Open the “Start Menu” in the lower left corner of the screen, then run the “cmd” command, and you will see a control window pop up.
3. Then enter the following in the window:
* First type ‘diskpart’command;
* ‘list disk’: typing the command will automatically list all the disks found on the computer , including the U disk we just plugged in.
* At this point you can see the number corresponding to the USB flash drive (such as #), then type: ‘select disk #’;
* Then type ‘clean’;
* type ‘ Create partition primary’;
* Then enter ‘select partition 1’;
* Enter ‘active’;
* Enter ‘format fs=fat32 quick’.
You can copy the Windows 7 installation files to the USB flash drive, and then you need to install the Windows 7 ISO file as a virtual DVD. It is very simple, you can follow the steps below:
1. First install a MagicDisc, which is used to create and manage virtual CD-ROMs. Of course, if you know that other such software can also choose other, we use this free software here.
2. After the MagicDisc installation is completed, it will appear in the system tray. At this point, right click on MagicDisc and select ‘Virtual CD/DVD-Rom’ to set up the DVD drive.
3. Then click ‘Mount& rsquo; will pop up a dialog window for you to select the Windows 7 ISO image file.
4. In Windows Explorer, you can see all the Windows 7 installation files by opening the DVD drive you just set up. All you need to do is copy and paste all these files into the USB flash drive, so that you Just have a Windows 7 installation U disk
