Symptom: Unable to run windows update, prompt message:

Windows Update is currently unable to check for updates because the updates on this computer are controlled by the system administrator.



1, the account permissions are sufficient for administrator

2, Cause Analysis: Options in Group Policy.

Workaround:

Start---Run --- gpedit.msc to open group policy editing.

Group Policy - User Configuration - Management Template - Start Menu and Taskbar - Delete links and access to windows update (select not configured or disabled)
