Microsoft adopted the Insider program in the development process of Windows 10, so there are frequent version changes. Even the official version will continue to roll out branch versions with subtle changes as the test plan matures. However, we don't necessarily see such an identifier on our desktop, and the system properties see a rough number. So when applying some tricks or application software, if you are working on a certain version, how can you quickly know the system version number you are using?

Right-click <;this computer" (or “ This computer & rdquo;), select “ attribute & rdquo; from the pop-up menu, in the subsequent "system" window, we will see the version information of Windows (Figure 1). However, this information is a relatively rough version number. As shown in the figure, the version number of Windows 10 Professional is displayed. We can only know that it is the professional version of Windows 10. The detailed version number is not shown here.

1. Display the internal version number

The same is the professional version of Windows 10, due to the different upgrade stages, there are subtle version differences. Press the Win+R key combination, then enter the WINVER command in the Run dialog and execute it. If the CMD method is "strip", the internal version number is displayed, then there is a more formal command, that is, the MSINFO32 command, after executing the command in the run box, the system information will pop up. 2, the most reliable version of the hiding place

After the system upgrade, the system version used by the current system is generally directly related to the system core file explorer.exe. In other words, system updates generally make changes to the properties of explorer.exe. In this way, we can directly obtain the latest system version information through explorer.exe.

Open the Windows folder of your system, navigate to the explorer.exe file, right-click on the file and select “Properties" from the popup menu. In the subsequent explorer.exe property display window, click the “details” tab to see the information about the file”version and <product version" (Figure 7).

Therefore, we can also use the method of viewing the registry to get the version number of Windows.
