Due to abnormal behavior: Microsoft has removed the SHA-2 hash algorithm upgrade patch and removed the tutorial

Because the update will cause abnormal behavior, Microsoft has to remove a patch again. According to foreign media reports, Microsoft provided a SHA-2 hash algorithm update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 in the "Tuesday Patch" last week. Unfortunately, this patch seems to cause problems for some users. Microsoft said the company has removed the patch and is investigating the behavior associated with this update.

We learned from the TechNet Security Notice that the SHA-1 hash algorithm is not recommended for continued use because it is old and vulnerable.

In order to eliminate this negative impact, Microsoft hopes to improve the security of Win7 and Server08 r2 with the SHA-2 hash algorithm update. Unfortunately, users of these two system platforms will have to wait for Microsoft to re-release the update after the evaluation.

For users who have already installed the update (KB2949927), they can also follow the Microsoft officially-installed "Remove Tutorial" action.
