Microsoft will increase the number of advertising applications in the Windows 10 first anniversary update

Computer store news: Most people do not like the ads on Windows 10. These ads may appear in your app list, lock screen, and even the start menu. Unfortunately, Microsoft plans to double the number of promotional apps when it launches the Windows 10 first anniversary update this summer. Specifically, the number of recommended applications will increase from 5 to 10. At the same time, the number of "static" applications (by default fixed in the start menu) will be reduced from 17 to 12.

If you are unfamiliar with these promotional applications, you can think of it as “Programmable Tiles”. It looks more like an app pre-installed on your computer and will take you to the store when you click it. These promotions are also advisory. From this slide, some tiles are actually pre-installed, the most typical is the candy crush legendary tile, pre-installed on all Windows 10 computers. Another common example is the new version of Microsoft Solitaire. Of course, all of these applications can be easily uninstalled or unpinned from the Start menu.
