Microsoft Chief Strategy Officer resigns

  

Microsoft Chief Research and Strategy Officer Craig · Craig Mundie said on Monday that he will resign from this position because he is preparing for retirement in 2014.

According to Mondi's profile on the Microsoft website, he has taken over the role of "CEO Senior Advisor"; there are reports that his current responsibilities will be met by Microsoft Chief Technology Officer Eric · Eric Rudder took over, including managing Microsoft's research department and other technical strategic responsibilities. Mondi's new position is not well defined, but he will report directly to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

Microsoft wrote in Mondi's profile: "In this role, he will be responsible for key strategic projects within the company, as well as government and business with global technology policy, regulation and standards." Leaders collaborate. & rdquo;

Ballmer announced the news in an internal memo on December 14th, but it has not been made public. Monti will be 65 years old in 2014, since Bill & Middot; Bill Gates has been the company's chief research and strategy officer since leaving Microsoft in 2006 and has inherited some of his responsibilities. In addition, he has worked with Gates to develop Microsoft's global strategy on technology, business and policy issues.
