SP2 also includes the following enterprise-level improvements:

Provides a Hyper-V virtual environment, just like the fully integrated features in Windows Server 2008, it includes a free sub-OS with Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition, four free Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition licenses and unlimited Free Windows Server 2008 Data Center.

◆Provides a complete power management strategy with up to 10% efficiency, which is more efficient than the initial values ​​of some configurations (on the server and on the desktop), and includes the ability to manage these settings through Group Policy

◆ Improve backward compatibility for Terminal Server license keys. Windows Server 208 changed the license key from 512 bytes to 2048 bytes, which caused the client to fail with the previous terminal version. SP2 allows older license keys for Citrix applications to use Windows Server 2008 Terminal Server.

System prerequisites: SP1 and service pack updates have been installed (KB 955430). Note: Windows Server 2008 includes a built-in SP1.

SP2 is currently only Beta, for testing purposes but not recommended for production or emergency mission systems.

The Blocker tool can be used to prevent SP2 from being installed automatically via Windows Update. This tool can now be used to block Windows XP SP3 and Vista SP1, but will soon be updated to block Windows Server 2008 SP2 and Vista SP2 updates.
