New product analysis: Windows Server 2008 Foundation

  

Windows Server 2008 Foundation is Microsoft's recently launched version of Windows Server for small businesses. This version is designed for small businesses with no more than 15 users. Windows Server solution launched on a scale and budget. Currently, this version is only available in the form of pre-installed servers. It is believed that users will be able to see the Windows Server 2008 Foundation through single-channel servers from Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and IBM.

Performance Analysis:

Windows Server 2008 Foundation is a Windows Server-based version of the product, with a certain streamlined functionality, this version is suitable for 64-bit single-channel processors, no Available in 32-bit version, it is destined to not be used on older 32-bit hosts, with up to 8G of memory, 10G of free disk space (slightly smaller than Windows Vista), and limited SMB, RRAS, and TS gateway connections. Support for virtualization technology has been removed. Windows Server 2008 Foundation is available in seven languages: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish.
