Use the registry to modify Vista desktop wallpaper

Every computer user doesn't like their personal settings to be modified by others, especially the system desktop wallpaper that has been set. Although other people have modified it, you can re-set it back. Don't say it, if you can't find the wallpapers you like, what should you do? Therefore, the best way is to "allow modification, not allow modification to take effect."
The so-called "allow modification, does not allow modification to take effect" means to allow others to modify the system desktop, but after the system restarts, the modification of others is invalidated, and the desktop wallpaper is automatically restored to the original setting. Can such an idea be realized? The answer is yes.
Run the registry, expand the branch to: HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\\Software\\Microsoft
\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\PoliCES, right click on "Polices", select "New" → "item" in the pop-up menu (Figure 1) ), then change the item name to "Explorer".

Click on the newly created "Explorer" item, right click in the blank window on the right, create a new DWord 32-bit key, rename it to "NoSaveSettings" Double-click the name and change its value to "1" in the pop-up window (see Figure 2).

Finally, to remind you that the value set to "NoSaveSettings" is "1", which means that the desktop wallpaper cannot be modified. If you want to reset the desktop and make the settings take effect, be sure to change the value to "0" before resetting the desktop wallpaper.
