Henan Netcom ADSL can not solve the problem in the Vista system

Zhou Lei: I use the ADSL of Henan Netcom on the Internet. I know from the Netcom customer service that I use the DHCP Internet access method. There is no problem with the XP operating system. However, when I changed the operating system from XP to Vista, I found that I could not access the Internet normally. How can I solve this problem with the experts of Computer Newspaper?

Office expert Chen Dengxin: We know through the reader's description When the Vista operating system was used in Henan Netcom, there was a phenomenon that it could not access the Internet. After testing, we found that some areas of Henan Netcom use DHCP to access the Internet, and the Vista operating system has a certain conflict with the DHCP server authentication of Henan Netcom (actually other places) This phenomenon has also appeared).

After the investigation, we found that the dialing program used in some areas of Henan Netcom was developed by Beijing Runhui Technology Co., Ltd., using non-international standard DHCP (modification of IP authentication), dialing procedures through the metropolitan area. The Netcom address at the beginning of the network 10 is connected to a group of authentication servers, which are authenticated by the authentication server and returned to the client, and the client obtains a real public IP address.

Tip: DHCP is an abbreviation of Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, which consists of server and client. Standard DHCP provides two methods of IP assignment: Automatic allocation is the first time a DHCP client successfully uses this address from the DHCP server to the IP address. Dynamic allocation is when the DHCP is first leased from the DHCP server to the IP address, the address cannot be used permanently. As soon as the lease expires, the client releases the IP address.

If Vista is installed, it may not be possible to obtain the address starting with 10 automatically assigned by Netcom. In Windows XP SP2, the BROADCAST flag in the DHCP Discovery packet is set to 0 (disabled). In Windows Vista, the BROADCAST flag in the DHCP Discovery packet is not disabled. Therefore, some non-Microsoft DHCP servers may not be able to process DHCP Discovery packets.

Tip: The BROADCAST logo means the computer has the ability to broadcast packets to all hosts.

Solution

Method 1: Crack the software method

The easiest way is to use the cracking software developed by the user Lao Zhou, "Henan Netcom ADSL Vista client" (software Download address: http://www.cpcw.com/bzsoft), after installation, you can solve the Internet problem with one click.

During installation, if the UAC elevation permission warning pops up, select "Yes"; if "Connection failed. Abnormal error" (Figure 1), right click on the Netcom broadband login client on the desktop. , select the "Properties" command, in the pop-up property selection card, switch to the "Compatibility" tab, in the "Compatibility Mode" box, check "Run this program in compatibility mode" and in the "Privilege Level" box Check "Please run this program as an administrator" and finally click "OK".

Method Two: Modify the registry law

If you are familiar with the registry, click "Start → Run", type "regedit" to open the Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \\ SYSTEM \\ The DhcpConnForceBroadcastFlag subkey under CurrentControlSet\\Services\\Tcpip\\Parameters\\Interfaces\\{GUID} (Figure 2), change its value from 1 to 0.

Tip: If no DhcpConnForceBroadcastFlag subkey, click the "Edit → New → DWORD (32-bit) value" to create a new.

Opinion

Henan Netcom ADSL has adopted the DHCP authentication method to prohibit the use of routers. The conflict between the Vista operating system and the Internet cannot be accessed. It is unintentional. Set the BROADCAST flag to disable to resolve the issue. The second method is suitable for the user who is familiar with the registry, and the average user is better to use the method one, because the correction of the registry will damage the system and cause the computer to crash.
