The steps to export the registry key are as follows:
(1) Select the registry key to be exported.
(2) Select the "Files" "∣""export” command to open the “export registry file” dialog.
(3) In the “Save in” drop-down list, you can select the storage location of the exported registry file. In the “File Name” text box, the user can enter the name of the exported registry file. In the "export scope" option group, the user can select the "all" or "select branch" option to determine whether to export all registry files or only the selected registry key file.
(4) Click the “Save” button to export the selected registry file.
View the exported registry file
View the exported registry file, you can do the following:
(1) Double-click the "My Computer" icon to locate the exported registry file.
(2) Right-click the registry file and select the “Edit” command in the pop-up shortcut menu to open the registry file with the default Notepad program.
