Two steps give you a different windows boot screen

Two-step replacement screen
First step: Open C:\\Boot.ini with Notepad, find Windows XP startup items In the row, add “/bootlogo /noguiboot” at the end.
Second Step: Find the screen of your own switch, store it in the Windows directory (C:\\Windows), and the file name is boot.bmp. Note: The file name and extension cannot be changed. The image requires a resolution of 640× 480, 16 colors.
Restart the computer and see if the boot screen has changed. If you are not satisfied, you can replace the boot.bmp with a new one. It's really simple!
The secret of the Boot.ini parameter
Observe the steps above to replace the boot screen. You will find that the main step is to add an important parameter to Boot.ini. Boot.ini also contains a lot of useful parameters, many magazines have been introduced, here we introduce a few more important parameters.
1./BOOTLOG: After starting this computer with this parameter, the system will record the startup information in a file for future viewing. The save location is %SystemRoot%\\Ntbtlog.txt, where “%SystemRoot%” represents a system folder such as C:\\Windows.
2./nodetect: There is a technique to declare that changing the “fastdetect” after each startup item in the "Boot.ini" file to "lddetect" can speed up Windows XP startup. In fact, there is no such thing as "nodetect" in Microsoft's vocabulary. There is no such parameter in the Boot.ini file. Therefore, changing “fastdetect” to “nodetect” does not have any effect. For the "fastdetect" parameter, Microsoft's explanation is "Turn off Ntdetect.com's detection of the serial mouse at boot time".



I can't find a good boot screen?
If there is no suitable boot screen, no problem, just log in to the photo website, you can find a lot of very beautiful pictures here, use it directly!
If you want to design a boot screen yourself, you can use Photoshop and other tools to process the appropriate size (640 & times; 480), and then save it as a 4-bit color, that is, 16 colors.
You need to use your favorite image file as the boot, click the “menu → add” command to add your own picture to the list. Of course, you should set the image to 640 & times in advance; 480 pixels, 16-bit color. When you need to restore the original picture file, click “Menu → Restore Windows Original Screen” command.
