Teach you to quickly customize the startup screen of XP system

When it comes to replacing the Windows boot screen, many friends will not find a tool such as eXeScope to modify or replace the resources of the executable file, or use special software such as BootSkin to complete it? It is recommended that friends who want to try it first set up a system restore point. If they are not satisfied with the change, they can directly restore it.

In fact, there is no need to be so troublesome. In fact, in WindowsXP/2003, as long as one parameter is used, the system boot screen can be changed in a few seconds without modifying the system files without any risk.

Step 1: Create your own boot screen

Image requirements: The picture is named Boot.bmp (Note: the file name and extension cannot be changed) Size 640*480, 16 colors The bmp bitmap is saved in the Windows directory of the system disk.

It is recommended that you create a new 640*480 black layer in Photoshop as the background, and then put your favorite pictures on the black layer. The picture mode is changed to index. Select 16 color (ie 4 bit) bmp pictures when saving. Saved in the Windows directory, of course, you can do it.

Second Step: Modify boot.ini boot file

Open C:\\Boot.ini with Notepad, find the line where WindowsXP startup item is located, add at the end: "/bootLogo/noguiboot ".

Restart the computer and see if the boot screen has changed. If you are not satisfied, you can directly replace boot.bmp with your favorite new image.
