Because current network equipment and servers generate a lot of heat during operation, in order to dissipate this heat, heat is usually dissipated by active heat dissipation. Due to the small space in the equipment room, these devices usually Air cooling is used to dissipate heat, and the vents cooperate with convective air to bring dust into the interior of the device. In addition, some equipment generates high voltage and static electricity when working, which will attract dust in the air. Dust will entrain moisture and corrosive substances into the interior of the device, covering the electronic components, causing the heat dissipation capability of the electronic components to decrease. Long-term accumulation of a large amount of heat will cause the device to work unsteadily.

In addition, because the dust contains moisture and corrosive substances, the insulation resistance between adjacent printed lines is reduced, or even short-circuited, which affects the normal operation of the circuit, and even burns the power supply and the motherboard seriously. And other equipment parts. Excessive dry dust enters the device and acts as an insulator, which directly leads to poor contact between the connector contacts. Pathways for dust generation

1. Air conditioning systems used to maintain temperature and humidity throughout the equipment room will inevitably bring some dust into the equipment room.

2. The computer room management personnel will bring some dust into the machine room during the process of entering and leaving the machine room.

3. The dust generated by the building itself, the doors and windows of the machine room (especially the ordinary room without dust treatment) easily flow into a large amount of dust. The skin peeling off on the surface of the machine room itself (such as walls, floors, ceilings, etc.) is also prone to dust.

4. Dust generated by the equipment in the equipment room, such as paper dust and toner particles generated by the printer during operation.

5. Most of the equipment rooms are under negative pressure on the outside of the equipment room during operation, that is, the external air pressure is higher than the air pressure in the equipment room, causing the dust cleanliness in the equipment room to exceed the standard.

How to prevent the generation of dust

1. Computer room partition control. For large computer rooms, regional management should be carried out when conditions permit, and equipment that is susceptible to dust interference should be separated from personnel entering the equipment room as much as possible to reduce the chance of contact with dust. For example, the computer room is divided into three areas, a server host area, a control area, and a data processing terminal area. A special visit channel is set up, and the passage is separated from the main area by a glass curtain wall.

2. Regularly check the sealing of the equipment room. Regularly check the doors and windows of the machine room, clean the air conditioning filter system, block the gaps in contact with the outside world, eliminate the source of dust, and keep the air in the machine room clean.

3. Maintain the humidity of the equipment room. Strictly control the air humidity in the equipment room, that is, to ensure that the dust is reduced, and at the same time, to avoid excessive rust and short circuit of the equipment.

4. Strictly control personnel access. Set the access control system, and do not allow people who are not allowed to enter the equipment room to enter the equipment room. The activity area of ​​the personnel entering the equipment room must also be strictly controlled to avoid entering the host area.

5. Make pre-dusting measures. The machine room should be equipped with special overalls and slippers, and cleaned frequently. The personnel entering the equipment room, whether it is the staff of the computer room or other personnel allowed to enter the computer room, must replace the special slippers or use the shoe covers. Minimize the entry of clothing personnel entering the equipment room wearing fiber or other clothing that is prone to static electricity.

6. Increase the pressure in the machine room. It is recommended that the conditional equipment room adopts positive pressure and dust prevention, that is, continuously input fresh and filtered air into the machine room through a device similar to the air pumping barrel to increase the air pressure inside the machine room. Due to the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the machine room, the air in the equipment room is deflated by the gaps of the tightly closed windows, doors, etc., thereby achieving the dustproof effect.
