How to configure and share the printer

  
in Win XP In an office, it is impossible to have a printer for each person. Some data printing is inevitably used for print sharing. This article explains how to implement print sharing in the Windows XP operating system.

First, configure the printer

Open "Printers and Faxes" in the "Control Panel", on the left option or right click and select "Add Printer";

2) Click "下下" One step" (Figure 1);

3) Then click "Next"; Note: In the above picture, you must not select "Automatically detect and install plug-in" Ready-to-use printer" checkbox (Figure 2);

4) After making the above selection, click "Next";

6) Fill in the data and click “Next”; Note: “200.1.1.11” in the above figure is the IP address you set for the print server, “Port Name” is the port name you set for the print server or Use the default value (IP_200.1.1.11: IP address of the print server) (Figure 3)

7) Click "Next".

Click "Next" according to the actual situation; Note: Here you select the printer manufacturer and model that you connect on the corresponding port of the print server (the port selected in the above steps);

9) Click “Next” after filling out; follow the prompts to properly install the printer driver.
