Serv-U version 6.1 ftp server software garbled problem

set up a storage server, naturally have to ftp to share my resources. I have been using the ftp server side of serv-U version 6.1, and later tried to use vsftpd under linux, but there will be garbled problems, very depressed and had to change back to windows. After that, I tried several ftp server softwares, and I didn't solve the problem of Chinese character encoding well. Until the Serv-U version 6.4.0.6 is used. Now share some experience.

ftp garbled phenomenon and reason:
access ftp, encountered Chinese file name garbled.
Because in the FAT and NTFS file systems, Chinese is stored directly according to the encoding used by the operating system, the Chinese system is usually gbk encoding. For different ftp client software, some ftp server software can not convert the encoding in the file system into the encoding used by the client software, so there is garbled.

vsftpd
The popular lightweight ftp server software under Linux. Ext3 uses utf-8 encoding by default, and windows client uses gbk, so the normal Chinese on the server shows garbled characters in the windows client. If the file is uploaded from the client, the Chinese garbled is displayed on the server side, but the client can browse normally.

proftpd
Powerful ftp server software under Linux. Starting from 1.32rc1, it supports setting the encoding method of server and client. For example, setting the server-side encoding to utf-8 and the client-side encoding to gbk can initially solve the garbled problem. However, for the client using utf-8 encoding, there will be garbled problems.

FileZilla Server
Cross-platform ftp server software, I have only used the windows platform. The result of the actual test is that it can be read normally with the Windows Explorer, but with ftp client software, such as cuteFTP, FlashFXP, etc., garbled. There is no problem with FileZilla's own client.

Serv-U 8.x
The latest version of Serv-U is powerful and manages using the web. The actual test result is that it can be read normally with Windows Explorer, but it can be opened in IE, Firefox and other browsers, and garbled. With ftp client software, such as cuteFTP, FlashFXP, etc., garbled characters will also appear.
Compared to its old 6.x version, it has reversed in character encoding.
Serv-U is commercial software, the latest version 8.2 has not been cracked, version 8.0 has cracked, but very unstable, basically restarting itself every five minutes, the reason is unknown.

Serv-U 6.x
The most classic version, the most widely used. After testing, whether the resource manager accesses ftp or the browser, all kinds of ftp clients can browse Chinese file names normally.
6.1 version I found the serial number, but a serial number can only be used once in the same LAN, otherwise it will be found invalid. The final version of 6.4.0.6 has a counter that can be perfectly cracked.

No doubt, I ended up using the Chinese green crack version of 6.4.0.6. Very stable and very easy to use.
