What is spam?

The so-called spam is generally characterized by bulk delivery. Its content includes earning information, adult advertising, commercial or personal website advertising, e-magazines, serial letters and more. Spam can be divided into benign and malignant. Benign spam is an informational message that does not affect the recipients, such as various advertisements. Vicious spam is a destructive email.

Some people will collect email addresses from Internet users from multiple BBS forums, newsgroups, etc., and then sell them to advertisers to send spam to these addresses. In these emails, you can often find the link "Remove from the recipient's list." When the user follows the link instructions, the advertiser knows that the address is valid and the user receives more spam.

As spam issues become more serious, several software vendors have also launched anti-spam software. However, "the road is one foot high and the magic height is one foot." The format of spam is changing with each passing day to avoid detection of such software.

Spam Attacks

Some spam sending organizations or illegal information disseminators often use multiple machines to send emails to attack the mail server in large numbers. The mail server has a large amount of bandwidth loss and seriously interferes with the mail server for normal mail delivery.
