VMWare appears Failed to lock the file solution

VMWare File Failed to Lock the File Solution Cause: The virtual disk (.vmdk) itself has a disk protection mechanism to prevent multiple virtual machines from accessing the same virtual disk (.vmdk) at the same time. The hidden dangers of data loss and performance reduction are that the virtual machine locks the virtual disk (.vmdk) with a .lck (disk lock) file each time the virtual machine is started. The .lck (disk lock) file is automatically deleted when the virtual machine is shut down. However, because you are not properly shutting down the virtual machine, the virtual machine has not had time to delete the .lck (disk lock) file on your system, so the next time you start the virtual machine, the above error occurs. Workaround: Delete all files ending in .lck and folders in the virtual machine configuration file and virtual disk folder
