Ghost Tips Format a 120G hard drive in seconds

As we all know, Ghost can quickly back up and restore hard drive data. If the operating system on the hard disk is lost and data is lost, you can use Ghost to recover quickly, eliminating the trouble of reinstalling the system and various software. In fact, Ghost is really a powerful software, in addition to regular backup, recovery data, there are many functions.

First, use Ghost to quickly format large partitions

The capacity of hard disks is getting bigger and bigger now. Every time you format a large partition, it takes a lot of time. In fact, Ghost can Large partitions for quick formatting.

First divide a small partition (such as 40MB) on the hard disk, and then use the Format command to format the partition. Note that you should not store any files on the partition in the future; then restart the computer with the Dos boot disk. Run Ghost and select the menu "Local→Disk→To Image" to make this partition into a GHO image file and store it in other partitions.

When you need to format a large partition, you can use the DOS boot disk to restart the computer, run Ghost, select the menu "Local→Disk→From Image", select the GHO image file prepared above, and select the format. The large partition, press the OK button, and finally press the YES button.

Second, format a 120G hard disk in a few seconds

Because Ghost has the function of cloning a whole hard disk, when restoring the backup, Ghost will re-target the target disk according to the partition ratio of the cloned hard disk. Assign and copy files. If it is a new hard disk, it will be automatically formatted in advance. According to the above principle, you can use a partitioned formatted hard disk as a "template" (the hard disk does not contain any files), use Ghost backup and restore to the new hard disk, so that you can quickly format the large hard disk partition. Specific practice: find a hard disk of any size, format it with Fdisk, Format according to the proportion of the partition you want to partition the large hard disk, be careful not to install any files on it; then start with the boot disk with Ghost program Computer, run Ghost, use the "Local-Disk-To Image" command to mirror the hard disk that has just been formatted into a piece of software, save this file on the boot disk (don't worry, this file should be small), and give a name Such as myfdisk.gho; Next, make a DOS batch file on the boot disk (editable with the edit command), the content is: ghost.exe-clone, mode=load, src=a:myfdisk.gho, dst=1, Save it as a bat file and give it a name like myfdisk.bat. In this case, which hard disk should be formatted in the future, use this boot disk to start the computer, and then execute myfdisk.bat. It takes less than a minute, no matter how big the hard disk can successfully complete partitioning and formatting. If you want to change the partition ratio, just modify the myfdisk.bat file. If you divide 4 areas and want to change the ratio to 1:3:3:3, just modify myfdisk.bat to read: "ghost.exe" -clone,mode=load,src=a:myfdisk.gho,dst=1,size1=10P,size2=30P,sze3=30P,sze4=30P”.
