Win8 officially released

in October.

Software giant Microsoft announced at the Global Partner Conference on Monday that Windows 8 will enter the RTM phase in the first week of August this year, and the official version will be available for sale at the end of October. This means that a computer with Windows 8 pre-installed will appear. RTM is Release to Manufacturing. It takes a while to form, package and distribute before the retail store is put on the shelves. Therefore, the program code must be completed some time before the official release.

Windows Chief Marketing Officer and Microsoft Chief Financial Officer Tami Reller announced that Windows 8 will be available in 231 markets worldwide, supporting 109 languages. After the sale begins in October, consumers can upgrade their current PC to Windows 8.

At the same time, Apple will release the next-generation operating system, Mountain Lion, this month. The current release date of the system is unknown. Only Mountain Lion will be on the Mac App Store for $19.99.

In addition to Windows 8, Microsoft also released Windows RT, which will support ARM-based processors. In October, Microsoft's Surface tablet may also be officially released, and the Apple iPad officially launched. It seems that this October will be particularly exciting, because many sources said that Apple will release the next generation iPhone in October this year, and small-size iPads may also be available.
