Win8 boot always "Solve Windows update failed, is restoring changes" solution

The Windows update will be configured when the computer is booted into the Windows 8 system in the last two days, but it is always updated to a percentage of the prompts "Configure Windows update failed, restore changes", and then the system restarts. After entering the system, the Microsoft Chieftain went to “Control Panel\\System and Security\\Windows Update\\View Update History” to view and found three failed updates. As shown in the figure: It seems that for some reasons, these three updates can not be successfully installed, so every time you turn on the computer will appear "Configure Windows update failed, restore changes". Since these three updates have not been successfully installed, we can remove these unsuccessfully installed updates and let the system re-download and install these updates, in effect deleting the temporary files that Windows uses to identify computer updates.

Before deleting the update temporary file, you first need to disable the Windows Update service, otherwise it cannot be deleted.

Win + X shortcuts bring up the shortcut menu, click & ldquo; Computer Management & rdquo;, on the left side of the "Computer Management" window, find the "Services" option, then in the right window Find the Windows Update service, right click, stop, stop the Windows Update service.

Then delete all files under the path X:\\Windows\\SoftwareDistribution\\DataStore and E:\\Windows\\SoftwareDistribution\\Download.

Then restart the Windows Update service, go to "Control Panel\\System and Security\\Windows Update", click on the "Check for Updates" on the left, and then wait patiently for the system to check for updates, you will see The display has “3 important updates available”. As shown in the figure:

Click “3 important updates available", will open “ select the update to be installed" window, all updates are selected by default, click the "Install" button at the bottom to install These updates are fine. Figure:

After installing the update, you will also be asked to restart your computer to complete the updated installation and configuration. If successful, the Windows update will be configured smoothly after the system is restarted. If the "Configure Windows Update Failed, Reverting Changes" prompt still appears, there may be some factors affecting the installation and configuration of Windows Update. Initially suspected to be a security software issue, you can uninstall the installed third-party security software. Try again later.
