How to set DNS

  
in Win8.1

First, in the network icon of the task bar in the lower right corner of the Win8.1 desktop, right click the mouse, and then select “ Open Network and Sharing Center, as shown below:

Second, after entering the Win8.1 network and sharing center, we click on the connected local connection or wireless connection network name, as shown below:

Note: Since I am currently using a wireless network, Click on the WWW.PC841.COM wireless network name, if you are using the plug-in network cable, then click on the local connection.

Third, we can only open the WLAN status settings, here we click into the bottom of the "properties" settings, as shown below:

Fourth, the next WLAN properties In the settings box, we first select the "Internet version protocol 4 (TCP /IPv4)" option, and then click the "attribute" attribute below, as shown below:

Fifth, you can enter Win8.1 DNS settings interface, here we select below, use the DNS server address (E) below, and then enter the preferred DNS address and alternate DNS address below, after completion, click the bottom of the "ldld" OK & rdquo; complete the settings.

In the above picture, the author demonstrates that the DNS address is set to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. These two DNS addresses are Google's global DNS addresses. As in the case of a network, if the Win8.1 app store does not open or Win8.1 cannot get updates, you can try to set the DNS address to be global.
