Windows 8 IE10 can not download files solution

After installing Windows 8 from Windows 7 in an upgraded way, I found that using IE10 can not download files. Clicking on the download link IE10 in the webpage has nothing to do.

Then click on the <quo;Tools”——“Download Manager” in the upper right corner of the interface. Then there is no problem in trying to use other functions. It seems that only the related functions of IE10 download are not working properly.

Originally thought to be a problem caused by the security settings, but in the group policy editor, it is not useful to see similar settings, it was found that this has nothing to do with Windows 8 and IE10 itself. The reason is that the Internet temporary folder of IE10 is gone.

Before moving the IE temporary folder to C:tempTemporary Internet Files, there is no such folder in Windows 8 system, so it causes problems.

Solution:

We just need to move the IE temporary folder to an existing folder or create a folder based on the currently specified path.

After completing the above operation, we can restart the IE, you can download the file and open the "Download Manager".
