Windows XP installation and XP basic settings (1)

  

I. Preparation:

1. Prepare the Windows XP Professional Simplified Chinese installation CD and check if the CD-ROM supports self-starting.

2. If possible, scan all hard disks with a disk scanner to check for hard disk errors and repair them before running the installer. Otherwise, it will be troublesome if you check for hard disk errors while the installer is running.

3. Record the product key (installation serial number) of the installation file with paper.

4. If possible, use the driver backup tool (such as: driver wizard) to back up all the drivers under the original Windows XP to the hard disk, it is best to write down the main hardware such as motherboard, network card, graphics card, etc. The model and manufacturer, pre-download the driver for backup.

5. If you want to format the C drive or D drive during the installation process (it is recommended to format the C drive during the installation process), please backup the useful data of the C drive or D drive.

Second, start the system with the CD:

(If you already know the method, please go to the next step), restart the system and set the CD-ROM drive as the first boot disk, save the settings and restart. Put the XP installation CD into the CD-ROM drive and restart your computer. When starting up, press the Enter key when the following picture appears, otherwise the XP system CD installation will not start.

Third, install Windows XP Professional

After the CD is started, if you have no accidents, you can see the installation interface, as shown below.

All Chinese prompts, "To install WindowsXP now, press ENTER" and press Enter.

License Agreement, there is no room for choice, press the "F8" button.

Use the "down or up" arrow keys to select the partition used to install the system. If you have formatted the C drive, select the C partition, select the partition and press "Enter" to enter.
