Win10 how to prohibit the driver automatic update win10 driver automatic update off

Win10 user feedback Win10 always push and update the latest graphics card driver for users, but after use, it is found that as long as the graphics card driver is updated, it is not good to play games. Some users crash when they enter the game. Some other users have no problem with the hardware driver, but they can't use it after the update. The user can only solve it by rolling back the previous driver, but it will be installed again soon. It seems that the update pushed by Microsoft does not work. So, is there any way to prevent the automatic update of the graphics driver? Let's take a look at how win10 below prohibits automatic driver updates!

win10 driver auto update off

First, Win+R runs, bring up the run box, and enter “gpedit.msc” to open the group policy.

Find:

Computer Configuration - Management Template - System - Device Installation - Device Installation Restrictions, as shown.

Then find on the right side "Block the driver installation device that matches the following device installer class", double-click the right button "Edit" or double-click to open the settings dialog.

Tick "“Enabled" and click on “Show” Enter the class GUID of the device (here one thing to note: don't check “ also apply to match installed devices ”) ,as the picture shows.

As for how to get this kind of GUID? Here to teach you, click on the start menu, find "set" & rdquo;, in the "Settings" form, find "About", click on the right <;Device Manager", as shown.

In the "Device Manager" that opens, find the device you want to disable. For the sake of testing, I will use an example of hdmi audio that I have not used yet. as the picture shows.

Right-click on the "Properties" dialog box. Go to the Details tab and find the corresponding data in the "Properties:  drop-down list. Simply enter this value in Group Policy. as the picture shows.

Go back to the group policy dialog that has been opened. Enter the GUID value of the device and click OK. Now we can test the driver update, the effect is as shown in the figure, is it no longer possible to update? So you don't have to worry about the incompatibility of the new driver.
