Microsoft today warned that some users failing to upgrade from Vista to Windows
7 will result in an endless restart cycle. The software giant has not yet pointed out the specific reasons for this problem, but it is good to provide a temporary solution.


Operation Steps

When a user attempts to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7, the installer may prompt the following error: "This version of Windows could not be installed, Your Previous version of Windows has been restored, and you can continue to use it."

Put in the Windows Vista installation CD.

Start Menu - All Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt.

Right-click command prompt - Run as administrator.

Enter the following command and press Enter.

Optical drive letter: \\boot\\Bootsect.exe /NT60 All.

Restart the system.
