Windows Insider project is not a free way for XP users to upgrade to Win10

Microsoft’s ambiguous blog post published last week said that Insider members are using the Technology Preview project to get free licenses for Windows 10 systems. But last weekend Microsoft revised the blog post to further show that those who are moving toward the final version of the Insider will continue to be active. According to the updated content, those who leave the project and upgrade to the final version will receive the current non-Insider membership (if you have a certificate for Windows 7/8.1 system, you can upgrade for free).

Specially note that Microsoft said in the blog post that if the system upgrade comes from a real system installation, then you will have an activated copy of Windows 10, if not, then you need to roll back to Previous systems or get a new Windows 10 license certificate. Microsoft clearly stated in the blog post that this is not a free upgrade for Windows XP or Vista systems, which means you can't get new certificates in this way.

If you stay in the project, it has no effect on you. Each Windows 10 release of the Insider project is pre-added with a key to ensure your installation is successfully activated. Microsoft also said that each preview version has a certain retirement time limit, but you will receive a new version before the old version retires.
