How to use the mobile hard disk to install Windows PE system to start the computer

First of all, the fourth computer tutorial introduces what is a Windows PE system. The Windows PreInstallation Environment (Windows PE) translates literally directly from the Windows pre-installation environment. Microsoft released it on July 22, 2002. Its original explanation is: "Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE) is with limited services. The smallest Win32 subsystem, based on the Windows XP Professional kernel running in protected mode. It includes the minimum functionality required to run Windows installers and scripts, connect to network shares, automate basic processes, and perform hardware verification. In other words, you can think of Windows PE as a Mini operating system with minimal core services. Microsoft introduced such an operating system of course because it has a different system function. If you want to explain it in one sentence, I think the main difference between Windows PE and Win9X/2000/XP is that it can be customized. Its own bootable copy keeps the minimum operating system size while guaranteeing the core services you need, and it is the standard 32-bit Windows API system platform.

Nowadays, the most famous PE tool is the PE toolbox of the deep mountain red leaf. It is not only small in size, but also has complete functions. It can play the role of first aid in special circumstances. Here's how to install to the mobile hard drive:

Plug the hard drive into the computer, right click on "My Computer", select "Manage", then select "Disk" (Management) You can see the partition of the mobile disk, the first partition should be "Primary Partition" (because only the primary partition can start the computer);

Next right click on the first partition, select “ Mark the disk partition as Active (Make Partition Active) (this is equivalent to setting this partition as the system partition on the local disk); open the downloaded WINPE image file with WINRAR (ISO format), put all the inside Drag and drop files and folders to the active partition root directory of the mobile disk, or unzip and copy them to the root directory of this disk;

Next, put the two files under the "WXPE folder" to NTDETECT. .COM and “SETUPLDR.BIN copied to the "root directory", and renamed "SETUPLDR.BIN" to "ldldr", because we may have to store other data in this inventory, in order to prevent accidental deletion. File, hide "NTDETECT.COM", ntldr“, WXPE“ and other files and folders, select them, right click on the attribute “, select Hide.

Restart the computer, press DEL“ enter the BIOS setup, change the first boot entry to USB-HDD boot, and restart the WinPE system with the mobile hard drive. Limited by the USB interface, the transmission speed of the mobile hard disk is not as fast as that of the built-in hard disk of the computer. However, when running a streamlined PE system, the difference from the ordinary hard disk is hardly felt, and functions such as the Internet can be realized. And as long as the computer that supports USB hard disk boot can use this hard disk to start, to complete system maintenance, disk partitioning, CD-free installation of operating system and so on.
