Music service Spotify announced to stop support for Windows Phone 8.x version

Computer store news: Foreign famous streaming music service provider Spotify believes that everyone is familiar. Some time ago, the singer Taylor · Swift even made a tit-for-tat attack on the platform's music infringement. At the same time, after Apple Music was launched, people were worried about Spotify's market share, and Spotify did give a deteriorating business situation.

Now, this streaming music platform officially announced that it has stopped supporting Windows Phone 8.x. The company confirmed to one of its customers that the current version of Windows Phone will not be updated. Spotify released the Windows Phone 7 version of the app in 2011 and the Windows Phone 8.x version in 2013. Twitter user Alessandro S announced the support email he received from Spotify, which explains the future of the Windows Phone version:
We (Spotify) can confirm that the Windows Phone 8.x version will not be updated. You can still use our Spotify app on the relevant device, but it will not receive any further updates. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

This app still exists in the Windows Store and works fine on Windows 10 Mobile. Spotify doesn't say whether it will develop a native app for Windows 10's mobile or PC version, just say "when there is a new trend, you will be notified when new updates are made and prompt you to download" ;
