XP is almost unchanged Windows 8.1 is slightly up

Computer store news: Microsoft will officially stop technical support for Windows XP operating system on April 8, 2014, but if you want to cut the market share of the system, the difficulty may still be great.

According to the latest data from market research firm Net Applications, Windows XP is still the second most popular operating system on the PC (31.22%).

The November data is almost identical to the previous two months (31.24% in October and 31.41% in September), and in just four months, it is obviously difficult to make the system quickly replaced.

As for the Windows 8.1 operating system officially released in October (Windows 8 users can upgrade for free), it has gained 2.64% market share, up slightly from 1.72% in October. . The share of the Windows 8 operating system fell to 6.66% (7.52% in October).

If you combine the Windows 8 and 8.1 shares, the market share should be 9.3%, a slight increase from October's 9.25%.

Windows 7 still accounts for half of the share (46.64%), which is basically the same as 46.42% in October. The share of Windows Vista dropped to 3.57% (compared with 3.63% in October).

Finally, optimistic estimates, Windows 8.1 share will exceed Windows Vista in December.
