Google fixes Chrome browser crash in Win10 preview version 10525

Computer Store News: If you use Win10 Preview 10525 and you have noticed using the 64-bit Beta version of Google Chrome, the Chrome team has already pushed an update for Canary. This update adds "support for int 2e backup system calls in Win10" and fixes for crashes.

Chrome Canary is an evening Build push channel for Google Chrome that will not be used as the default browser, in fact only as a public or beta Chrome browser in the system. Although the browser works fine, it is not recommended as a browser for everyday use because it is an experimental browser.

On the latest Win10 preview 10525, Chrome 64-bit versions (Beta and Canary) will experience crashes. The cause of the failure was that Google used an unauthorized "hook" link to Microsoft APIs. Obviously, Google doesn't want to buy Microsoft's 64-bit system development kit, which costs $9,995 (not a joke), and Google has chosen a replacement. Because Microsoft changed the way memory works in Build 10525, the Google method can no longer be used.

The vulnerability has been fixed in Chrome Canary 46.0.2489.0 (64-bit). After further testing and feedback, it will be pushed to the beta channel, which is now the 64-bit version of the browser. Because the push of the beta build is not as frequent as Canary, the process can last for a few days or more.

For now, if you're using the 64-bit beta Chrome on Windows 10 Build 10525, you can use the non-sandboxed approach to circumvent the "hook" problem.
