Win10 Technology Preview 10130 update content list

Computer store news: In the official blog that announced the Build 10130 update push, Windows Insider leader Gabrial Aul gave a brief introduction to this update: "On the last Win10 update I have already mentioned that in future updates, more emphasis will be placed on system fine-tuning and stability, which means fewer major functional changes. This update is a typical example. Everyone will welcome some new icons (File Manager) in Build 10130, and will also feel some subtle changes in the user experience. We listened to the feedback suggestions on the Win10 icon, and these new icons look more refined. Please continue to give us feedback. We've also added new animation effects for some of the taskbar operations, including moving files, downloading, and more. The start menu has also got more improvements. We also heard a lot of feedback suggestions for the center of the operation center. The operation center in the new version has cancelled the border and it looks more beautiful now. ”

Microsoft also notified the official blog of the new content included in this update:

Start Menu Settings

In Build 10130 You can open the full screen start menu on your desktop. You can also customize the location of these icons in the lower left corner of the start menu where the power supply and all applications are located.

In Build 10122, the File Manager and Settings are shown in the lower left corner of the Start menu, but you can now customize the list here. (Note that if you upgrade from Build 10122 to Build 10130, you will find a bug after the upgrade, that is, the file manager and the Settings icon in the lower left corner of the Start menu disappear for no reason. You can apply in the Settings. Re-add them back, then exit and re-open the Start menu to find them back.)

Icon Design

We update our icon design to reflect our Microsoft design language. Create a more uniform look and feel for our entire product experience. These icons look more modern and lightweight, while also creating a better visual relationship between typography and graphics. More importantly, the application icons in the desktop and mobile systems are now more unified, no matter what device you use, such as Word and Excel icons look very similar.

User feedback has played a big role in current icon design improvements. In the previous version of Build, we heard that our design was too flat and not rich enough. So through the iterative update of the system, we have also been looking for a balance between the single line style icon of the mobile system and the 3D depth icon of the desktop system. The new icon set looks more similar, new and practical.

We have designed thousands of icons between the classic Aero icon and the new app icon. We have inspired Swiss graphic design, Dutch product design and modern architectural design (as well as other design fields and styles) to inspire icon design. In the pursuit of ultimate unification and functionality, we will continue to improve icon design.

Jump Lists in the Taskbar

We have improved the UI design of the Jump List to make it look more relevant to the rest of the Windows 10 Start menu and the UI of the taskbar. If you have fixed the file manager to the taskbar, you can right click on the new changes to the upgraded jumplist.

Continuum Feature Improvements

In the tablet mode, you can open the top edge of the screen to open application commands (if any), similar to Win8.1;

Improvements for Microsoft Edge Browser

In Build 10130, the Microsoft Edge browser (now still called Spartan browser, we are preparing to change the name) can fix/unpin the Cortana panel, favorites panel, read List panel or other panel.

We've also introduced more advanced printing options, improved address bar flags, and optimized reading views to support different content, window sizes, and device layouts (such as the Surface Pro 3's portrait mode). Now Edge also supports full-screen video playback on video sites such as YouTube or Hulu.

Taskbar Settings for Virtual Desktops

We introduced two taskbar configurations for virtual desktop users a month ago and asked Isndier members for the best version. One is the global taskbar, which presents the task window on all desktops, and the other is the filtered taskbar, which only displays the task window on the current desktop.

The results of the selection show that there are more Insider members who like the filtered taskbar, so we also started the filtered taskbar by default in Build 10130. However, users who prefer the global taskbar can also make adjustments by using the "Settings" application ——“system”——“multitasking”——“virtual desktop”

Cortana Shortcuts

Shortcuts for fans quickly try “Win + C” this new shortcut. It will launch Cortana's speech recognition feature, which you can use to ask questions, set reminders, and more.

Microsoft Print as PDF

The "Print as PDF" feature in Win10 is now called "Microsoft Print to PDF". Simply select “Print & rdquo; in the app and select “Microsoft Print as PDF” as a printer. If you have previously used the "Print as a PDF" function, you can also remove it by: "Settings" “——“Device”——&ldquo Printers and Scanners”——Right-click “Print as PDF” and select “Remove device”

Video Application Playback Improvements

In Build 10130, you can now play full-screen video through the Video app

These are just some of the major improvements in the Win10 10130 preview, and there are other minor improvements that are not mentioned, but still improve The user experience is helpful.
