Win10 Spartan browser new "reading mode" and "read list" function detailed

Computer store news: Although Microsoft still does not include the Project Spartan browser in the latest Windows10 preview, but this does not affect Microsoft fans Learn about Spartan. There are two consumer features in the Spartan browser: Reading lists and Reading mode. These two features make it easier for users to read content in the browser and save the readings for the next time.

First, let's look at the reading mode. When this function is activated, a blue book icon will appear on the right side of the address bar. Clicking on the book icon will open a new view.

When you enter reading mode (as shown above), all web content except text and images are hidden, which makes it easier for users to read articles without being advertised. The animation is distracting.

Reading mode contains several themes: bright, bright, medium, and dark. Each theme change changes the background color, and the text color under some themes changes.

Let's look at another feature —— read the list. As the name suggests, you can add content to this list and browse at other times. In this version, if you want to add a tag to the list, the user needs to click the star icon on the right side of the address bar, and then the browser opens a window for the user to select the reading list, and then the user can add content to the list. Once the addition is complete, the user can right click on the entry to select an edit or remove operation.

The reading list feature has yet to be further enriched, and it is currently not supported for grouping by publication source or type. We also hope that the Spartan browser will give us a better reading list experience when the next build version is pushed.

These two features in the Spartan browser are equivalent to a missing feature in Internet Explorer and are believed to be popular with third-party browser users. However, the development of Spartan browser is still in the early stage, and then more practical functions will be integrated, which will eventually become a veritable “IE Terminator”! Project Spartan is a browser that Microsoft plans to replace IE. Currently, it is still a code name, and the official name is still being prepared.
