WP8.1 compatible with Android apps? Microsoft does not do, third party do

Computer store news: Before, it was rumored that Microsoft tried to run Windows APP compatible with Windows Phone. Many mobile phone manufacturers also plan to launch smart phones equipped with WP8/Android dual system, further increasing WP device sales and market share.

In this interview, ZDNet asked Terry Myerson about the matter.

MYERSON: & ldquo; We have also been paying attention to a large number of such development work. At present, many third-party developers have officially tried to implement compatible Android applications (similar to simulator functions) on the WP platform. Therefore, we will continue to listen to hot topics of interest to ordinary users. However, we are currently focusing on the Windows platform, and Microsoft has always hoped that more developers will bring a better user experience. ”

It is not difficult to see from Myerson's words that Microsoft has no plans to develop or design simulators for Windows Phone to implement compatible Android APP applications. Compared with Microsoft, there are still many third-party companies working hard for the WP platform to "run" Android apps.

It doesn't matter if they succeed, but we expect the WP ecosystem to develop better and healthier.
