Microsoft: XP users should upgrade the

According to foreign media reports, Microsoft this week has been in the campaign for the Windows 8 system, but in fact most companies yet to migrate Windows 7. Microsoft hopes that enterprise users can upgrade the new system as soon as possible, and the technical support period for Windows XP will end in 2014.

Kevin Turner, chief operating officer of Microsoft, said on Wednesday: "We will end technical support for XP, Office 2003 and all previous products in April 2014. XP used to be an excellent product, but now it's time to upgrade. ”

Microsoft originally planned to end technical support for XP this year, but given that many corporate users are still using XP, Microsoft was forced to postpone the termination date to 2014.

Microsoft's Windows director Steven · Steven Sinofsky said at the BUILD conference on Tuesday that more than half of Windows users in the consumer market already use Windows 7. Sinowski did not provide data on the corporate market, but analysts believe that most companies are still using Windows XP.

Turner said: "Windows 7, Office 2010 and IE9 bring new opportunities for Microsoft's development. ” But in the latest fiscal year report, overall sales of Windows systems fell by 2.4%.
