Speed up the speed of Win2000 browsing network neighbors

In some machines Windows 2000 open "neighboring computers", often wait for tens of seconds, people can not stand. A careful analysis will reveal that the computers found include "printer" and "task plan". When browsing your computer through My Network Places, Windows 2000 searches for your own shared directory, printers that can be used as network shares, and network-related scheduled tasks in the Task Schedule, which is bound to affect browsing speed. Therefore, you should cancel the search for "printer" and "task plan". The specific method is as follows:

Open the registry and find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace. There are two branches below: one is 2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D, Represents "printer"; the other is D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF, indicating "task plan". Delete these two primary keys, and then quit the registry, do not restart the computer, open the "neighboring computer" in "My Network Places" again, the browsing speed will be greatly accelerated. After long-term operation, deleting these two items does not affect the execution of network printers and mission plans.

In addition, just installed Windows 2000 system is unable to browse other computers. For security reasons, Windows 2000 prohibits access by foreign computers by default. Click "Administrative Tools → Local Users and Groups" to find the Guest user and remove the "Account has been disabled".
