Windows Server 2008 Configuration IE uses proxy

1.1.1 Configure IE to use proxy
What is a proxy server? A proxy server is a computer that mediates between a web browser (such as Internet Explorer) and the Internet. Proxy servers improve web performance by storing frequently used copies of web pages. When a browser requests a web page stored in a proxy server's collection (its cache), the web page is served by a proxy server, which is faster than entering the web. The proxy server also improves security by filtering out certain web content and malware. The famous agent software is Microsoft's ISA 2006 and CCproxy. Proxy servers are mostly used by networks in organizations and companies. Typically, people who connect to the Internet from home do not use a proxy server. Steps: 1. In the IE browser properties dialog, click <;LAN Settings”. 2. In the "Address” box, type the address of the proxy server. 3. In the "Port” box, type the port number. 4. If the network requires a separate proxy address for a different service (such as HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP), click the “Advanced” button and type the address of the individual proxy server to use. 5. To access the intranet, you do not need to use a proxy. In the “Exceptions” section, enter the URLs that are directly accessed.
