• After restarting the computer, the Windows Update dialog box appears. This dialog box contains the following message:

Analysis
If the Windows Update program is in the process of downloading This problem occurs when it is damaged. A corrupted program stops the host process of the Windows service, causing the system to fail to get more updates.



solutions
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1, restart the computer in Safe Mode.
Operation method:
a. Restart the computer.
b. Press F8 when the computer restarts.
c. When the “Advanced Boot Options” menu appears, use the arrow keys to select “Safe Mode” and press Enter to enter the system.

2, enable "Show hidden files" option.
How to:


a. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Folder Options, and then click the View tab.
b. Click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.



3, locate the following folder (\\ Programdata \\ Microsoft \\ Network \\ Downloader), and then delete the file names of all files that start with Qmgr:

How: < BR> a. Click Start, type \\Programdata\\Microsoft\ etwork\\downloader in the Start Search box, and press Enter.
b. In the Download Programs window, select and delete all files that begin with Qmgr. For example, delete the following files:
• Qmgr0.dat
• Qmgr1.dat


4, restart the computer.
5, immediately open Windows Update to get the latest updates.
