How to retrieve the system disk space that was forcibly occupied

Frequently, a friend said: "My system disk space is running out. Running large software always reports that the system space is insufficient. I have cleaned up the cleanup. What should I do now? "Because most of the current software uses the standard Windows installation mode, users can easily install by simply double-clicking the Setup.exe file. However, such an installation method also has a drawback: many programs are installed by default to the partition where the operating system is located (most users choose the C drive), so after a while, the available space of the C drive is inevitably smaller. . Perhaps unconsciously, you find that the C drive is only a few hundred megabytes or even a few tens of megabytes! Re-partitioning and formatting the hard disk is fine, but it is too cumbersome to operate and has many limitations. What most users want is to keep the original system and data intact, and "destroy" the lack of disk space. And because the C drive is the system drive, the files inside can't be deleted directly, otherwise the computer will cause the system to go wrong and can no longer be used. So how do you get back the space that was forcibly occupied?
First, the useless program
First check if there are any programs that you don't need in your program menu, if you can uninstall them. The method of uninstalling is very simple. Just enter the control panel and open “Add/Remove Programs.
Second, easy to ignore the folder
Because we are in the file operation, the default save location is "My Documents". And "My Documents" is the default location in the C drive, so when the C drive space is insufficient, it is recommended that you check the capacity of the files in my document, and you can transfer it to other partitions. The method is to open the "My Documents" property window, and then click the "Move" button in the "Destination Folder" tab to select a new location.
Another folder that is easy to ignore is “Download(Downloads)”. The default storage path of the download tool is C:\\Download(Downloads), and ordinary users are accustomed to using the default settings when downloading, so that downloading several large movies takes up one or two G, so it will not prevent The contents of these folders are moved to other partitions, and the downloaded files are not saved to the Download folder.
Three, transfer
We can also transfer some files that were originally stored in the C drive to other partitions, including virtual content, temporary files, and so on. The first is virtual memory, which takes up 1.5 times of physical memory. It is recommended that you open the system properties window and click on the “ In the window that opens, click the "Change" button in the "Advanced" tab, then select the C partition, set it to "No paging file", and then select D or other partitions to redefine the virtual memory. size.
For computers that are connected to the Internet, you can also transfer temporary file storage locations. Open the IE“Tools>; Internet Options" command under the menu, click the "Internet Temporary Files" "Setting" button, and then click “Move Folder"; Other locations outside the disc are fine.
Fourth, hibernation and system restore
Enable hibernation and system restore also take up a lot of space, we can turn it off. First enter the control panel, open the "Power Options", and then cancel the "Hibernate" option in the "Hibernate" tab. Secondly, you can open the system properties window and select "Resume System Restore on all drives" in the "System Restore" tab. After this operation, you can release about 1G of space.
Through the above method, after restarting the computer, you find that the system disk space is much more, and you no longer have to worry about running the big software and the system space is insufficient. And your C drive has more space available, so that your computer will be relatively faster to use, so useful, and share it with your friends.
