Internet Explorer 5.0 and 5.5

The Internet Explorer 5.0 version of the Windows 3.2 Simplified Chinese version was released on March 18, 1999, and was later bundled with Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows 2000 (Windows). 2000 bundled with version 5.01). This version is another representative release that introduces bidirectional text, marginal markup, XML, XSL, and the ability to store web pages in MHTML format. Version 5.5 was subsequently released in July 2000, which improved print preview functionality, CSS and HTML standards support and application programming interfaces. This version is bundled with Windows Me.

Internet Explorer 6.0 Version

The 6.0 version was released on August 27, 2001, a few weeks before the official release date of Windows XP. This release includes enhanced DHTML, content restrictions for inline web frameworks, and partial support for CSS level 1, DOM level 1, and SMIL 2.0. The MSXML engine will be updated to version 3.0. Other new features include a new version of IEAK, Media Column and Windows Messenger integration, error collection, automated resizing of images, P3P and a new look that works with Windows XP's "Luna" interface. In 2002, Gopher's functionality was disabled, and version 7.0 removed support for Gopher.
